Hard-to-find: - A7 Notebook
10/08/2014
I was in the shopping mall with time to kill before a lunch date, and decided I would get myself a small lined notebook, as I can't be bothered entering notes to my phone in texting mode with the number pad. I have half a dozen old notebooks of A7 size in my dresser drawer going back to 1992, before I had cellphones. They are all well-worn survivors of jostling with a ball-point pen in my shirt's top pocket.
I go to a bookshop, but despite an intensive search I find they do not have such an item on the shelves. There are A6 bound notebooks, A7 spiral-bound pads, but no A7 bound lined notebooks. I also notice that about two-thirds of the stationery section is taken up by the "Fashion Stationery". It would appear just "stationery" is failing to appeal, people want to feel fashionably individual with their choice of mass-produced individuality. I do manage to buy 3 non-fiction books on special, one hardback, two paperbacks, marked as five, ten and ten dollars, but rung up as $15 the lot! * |
I exit to try the Imported Cheap Chinese Trinket shops, and the third one has a bound A7 2014 diary.
I settle for that, and will enjoy ignoring the dates and using the pages to my own requirements.
