The Beatles - Who did they cover?

Shock! Horror! Plagiarism!
Today after extensive and painstaking research it can be revealed to the world!
Those apparently limitlessly talented artists "The Beatles" did not write all their own tunes!
I have uncovered incontrovertible evidence that many of their recordings were
ACTUALLY PREVIOUSLY RECORDED BY OTHER ARTISTS!

Years back I thought it an interesting idea to collect all the original artists' versions of songs The Beatles recorded.
Initially, back when I first got a computer, and mp3 file-sharing was all the rage, I found maybe half-a-dozen that I knew off the top of my head, and left it at that. Then, the day it came out, 09/09/09 (on pre-order actually), I bought the CD box set "The Beatles in Mono" (See Left). Some time later in 20013 I went through all the set and compiled a full list of the cover versions. |
Today, in view of the comprehensive nature of the wonderful archive that is YouTube, I had a quick search and found I could present a playlist of all 24 of the covers from that box set, ordered by Album release date, and album track number. (See below for OCD factoid table)
