Book finished: Lost To Time
11/07/2014
History Lite
Interesting enough run through some byways of forgotten history.
The fact that it is only three days since my last "Book Finished" is an indicator of its breadth, if perhaps not its depth.
Some of these stories I had heard of, like the D-Day exercise that went wrong, and the Native American pre-Columbian city.
There are some horrific descriptions of a couple of disasters, which are definitely not forgettable.
I imagine you could win a few bets in bars with this book.
Overall, reminiscent of one of those YouTube Listicle-style posts:
"Ten Unforgettable Stories That History Forgot!"
