I was a bit disappointed by this. I decided to read it as research for my pending post reviewing my interest in Science Fiction over the years. I thought I should have look at what is coming out these days.
I found surprisingly little that made me think things have changed.
There was also, for an award entitled "Nebula", a surprising ratio of 8 fantasy stories to only 3 SF stories, and 3 poems. I had to hesitate on allocating this post to the Space category.
Standouts for me were: -
Ponies, by Kij Johnson, a creepy little fantasy tale of little girls and ponies, and
Arvies, by Adam-Troy Castro, a real "what if?" science fiction speculation that gives much food for thought regarding the legal status of life.

I am an extremely intelligent, witty and fascinating guy.
